Welcome to Nichols!

Nichols Follett Shelf

Nichols Elementary is an upper elementary consisting of both 4th and 5th grades. We have approximately 350 students, 20 certified staff and 18 support staff.  Other facts about Nichols:  The tardy bell rings at 7:50 and students are to be in their classrooms.  We will have breakfast in the classroom, and students will eat and work on morning work.  We will have two lunches this year:  4 grade lunch will be from 11:45-12:15 and 5 grade will be from 12:25-12:55.  School is dismissed at 3:05.  New offices are on the south side of the building.  All parents and guests must check in at the office.  Nichols students are the best!   Thank you!
Dear Parents and Students: Welcome back for the 2017-2018 school year.  We are excited to welcome our new students and help to make their transition into middle school seamless.   Our teachers and students will be divided amongst 4 teams: Blue, White, Gold, and Silver. Our theme this year is “Racing to Success” We will be focused on continuous improvement of our teachers, staff, and students and will work hard to prepare our students to be college, career, and citizen ready! We would love for you to join us this year in making it the best year for our students. Keeping in contact with your child’s teacher is vital to their success. We have many ways for parents to get involved. We have our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and various other opportunities throughout the year to volunteer in our building. If you are interested, contact the school and we will guide you in the appropriate direction. I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s future and am excited to get to know all of you this year. If you need information do not hesitate to call the office or look on our website .   Keni Iverson, Principal    Nick Highsmith, Dean of Students
