Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back for the 2017-2018 School Year! This time of year is always exciting for teachers, students and parents. Please join me in welcoming staff new to Roosevelt- Wendy Yount- Special Education, Hailey Keith- Music, Stacie Jackson, Samantha Schmitt, Kristen Riggins, and Stacy Mullin- Teacher Assistants. Our Roosevelt team will provide a supportive, safe learning environment for your child.
These sessions will provide specific information from the office and individual classroom teachers. There will be three concurrent sessions, repeating every twenty minutes to accommodate families with more than one child. Parents should plan to attend one general information session in the cafeteria and their childs’ teachers’ classroom session. Tickets to win a gift card will be given to parents attending the cafeteria and classroom session.
We are collecting a to provide every class with treats for our school-wide parties/celebrations and help with other student activities. We appreciate your support of this fund. Thank you again to our parents and students for such successful fundraisers last year.
Our dedicated teachers will continue to focus on specific learning needs and improving academic achievement of . I ask you to join us as part of your child’s educational team. Research shows when parents are involved in children’s schools and education, results often include higher grades and standardized test scores, improved behavior at home and school, and better social skills.
