Dear Parents and Students,
It's hard to believe it's the Fourth Quarter already! Third through Fifth grade students are taking State Assessments during the testing window of April 10-30. These tests are very important to your childs' permanent academic record, our school, and district student academic performance reporting. Please help us by making sure your child is at school, well-rested, and prepared to do their very best!
Recently, Third Quarter gradecards were sent home. STAR Reading and Math assessments are also given at the end of each quarter. If your child's academic perfomance needs improvement or they are not on grade level, we are asking for your help at home completing homework or practicing skills. We are providing additional help at school or during tutoring and carefully tracking each child's progress. Building-wide, we have seen significant gains in each Quarter in Reading and Math.
April and May are very busy with field trips and special activities. Please talk with your child about appropriate behaviors and following rules. Students with repeated discipline issues/referrals, may not be allowed to attend trips or activities. We want all students to enjoy this fun time of the school year.
I want to thank you for making your child's education a priority. Education is a shared responsibility between students, school, and parents. We love our students and want each child to be successful. With your support, I am confident we can prepare each child to be College, Career, and Citizen Ready.
