A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year!  I am excited to join the Rockdale team in meeting your child’s educational needs!  As I begin my first year here at Rockdale, I am thrilled to find the teachers and staff so committed to our students.  To those students and parents who are new to the Rockdale family, let me extend an especially warm welcome and best wishes for a successful, productive year in your new school!  We hope that you will quickly feel at home and become involved in the activities of our school through the PTO and your child’s classroom program.

We have been busily preparing to put forth our best effort in helping your child be successful.  Our teachers set high expectations—expectations of which we can be proud!  We aim to motivate our students to excel in all areas.  We believe that as we combine our efforts with you and your child, we will see positive results.  Please know that we are committed to working with you.  Your willingness to encourage your child to make his/her education a priority will further serve to increase the impact we can make together.  Working together as a team we will move forward in our mission this new school year to create a nurturing, disciplined, and challenging environment in which all students can learn at optimum levels and become responsible members of society.  We have so much to be proud of as a staff, family, and community!

Thank you in advance for your support of Rockdale Elementary.  Together we make a great team!  If I can answer any questions for you or be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call me.  My door is always open…

Sincerely,

Andrea Berry
